In this fun and creative family friendly workshop, we’ll make our own tic tac toe boards out of clay.

We will cover simple hand-building techniques to shape a small game board and create their own playing pieces. They can add patterns, textures, or fun details to make their set completely unique.

This workshop is designed for young makers and focuses on creativity, play, and getting comfortable working with clay. No previous experience is needed, and guidance will be provided throughout the class.

What’s Included:

  • 1 lb of stoneware clay

  • Access to tool kits, working boards and turntables

  • Selection of available studio glazes

  • Both bisque and glaze firings

How to Prepare
Please make sure you are wearing clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Because you will be working with your hands, It’s best to wear a shirt that is short sleeves or easily able to roll up. You will be using wet sponges and other tools that might interfere with long sleeves.
Picking up work
Please allow 2-3 weeks for finished and glazed pieces. Once your pieces have made it out of the last firing you will be notified to pick up.  Drying time is dependent on the temperatures and humidity in our studio spaces, that first week after the workshop is a bit flexible as we wait for your work to dry.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Full refunds are available up to one week before the start day of your class. Each week we take time to prepare materials, tools and the studio for our community workshops. If for some reason you do not cancel your spot within the cancellation window we are happy to rebook your spot to one of our future workshops, there is an additional €10 rebooking feel.
Number of Participants
The workshop will be held in a small group of eight participants unless we are set up in the larger workshop space for the week. Classes will be held regardless of full status or not. In other words, if only two people register, the workshop will still take place.
